Teamwork Cares Supports Pinellas County through School Supply Drive

Aug 11, 2026 | TeamworkCares

At Teamwork Cares, we believe the start of a school year should be about possibility, not the pressure of an empty supply closet. This summer, our team came together for a back-to-school supply drive, gathering everything from notebooks and folders to dry erase markers, crayons, and classroom essentials. This August, we had the privilege of delivering it all to Kings Highway Elementary Magnet School in Clearwater, Florida.

Kings Highway is a Title I public magnet school serving students from Pre-K through 5th grade as part of Pinellas County Schools. Its STEAM curriculum, spanning science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, gives young learners the space to build, experiment, and think creatively from an early age. What stands out most is the school’s environment: small by design, personal in practice, and deeply connected to the families and community it serves.

That kind of hands-on, student-first learning depends on having the right tools in place. So our team set out to help teachers begin the year focused on what they do best, teaching, rather than tracking down tissues, cleaning supplies, and classroom basics. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who contributed, those supplies are now where they belong: in the hands of the educators and students who need them.

A project like this only comes together because of the people on the ground who open their doors and make it happen. Our sincere thanks go to Principal Antoinette Wilson, Assistant Principal Cassandra Vigil, and Secretary Bookkeeper Joella McCluster for their warm welcome and for helping bring these donations together. Their dedication to their students and their community is exactly the spirit we hope to support.
